We’ve been in the game for quite a while and here’s why.
A fourth-generation family business, Rittenhouse Electric Supply Company opened its doors in 1957 in the heart of Philadelphia’s Main Line. Still at its original location, Rittenhouse has expanded to provide lighting, supplies, controls and shades to discerning customers across the country and around the world. Founded by Norman Aronson (left) the tradition continued through son-in-law Jerry Elkins (right). The torch has been passed to Norman’s grandsons, Adam and Mike Elkins
Still in the family
Adam (no mustache) received his BA from the University of Pennsylvania in Economics and a BS in Entrepreneurial Management at the Wharton School of Business where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. One week after graduating college Adam started his career at Rittenhouse Electric.
Mike (with mustache) graduated Cum Laude with a BA in Classical Civilization from the University of Pennsylvania and received an MFA in Film Production from Loyola Marymount University.
We firmly believe that a family business should consider its co-workers and customers as part of one big family!
